August is a busy month!! As such, the Child Health Clinic dates will be a little different- dates as follows:
Monday 23rd August- Child Health Clinic resumes normal days and times!
 
 
The Embrace Life Child Health Clinic, run by our registered Child Health Nurse, Sharon Armstrong, is completely free for Mums to bring their babies and children along for an assessment of their health, growth and development, or even just to have a chat. Sharon's nurturing approach will ensure you and your family feel comfortable and well cared for.
 
 
 
 
 
Our Child Health Clinic provides a family friendly environment where advice and information on a wide ranges of topics can be sought (and shared!) by all Mums, Dads, carers, and of course Mums-to-be! Sharon can help to answer many questions you may have, and give advice or suggestions on a wide range of topics for newborns right through to children of 6 years of age.
Sharon is also able to direct you to other health care providers that you may require.
 
 
 
We have extensive information available for loan or perusal within the clinic, covering topics such as:
  • Breastfeeding, feeding
  • Unsettled babies
  • Vaccinations
  • Sleeping issues
  • Toilet training
  • Dietary requirements
  • Crawling and walking
......... and that's just the beginning!
 
 
 
Susie Orr, Bowen and Massage Therapist, also provides free Baby Bowen at the Child Health Clinic, subject to availability, on the first Monday of every month.
 
 
 
Our aim is to be able to provide all parents with the support and information necessary to:
  • Make informed choices about your child's health care and wellbeing
  • Address any concerns you may have for your child
  • Understand and be aware of your child's growth and development
  • Give you the knowledge and confidence to realise that you DO know what you are doing!
 
 
Sharon has been in practice for 18 years in a range of Child Health settings, including community and residential in Australia and as a Health Visitor in the UK. Her experience also includes having two gorgeous young sons of her own. Sharon has a wealth of Child Health experience and provides information to enable parents to make informed choices. Private appointments and home visits are available with Sharon for more extensive questions or concerns.
 
 
 
The Child Health Clinic operates every Monday from 9.30am - 11.30am (except Public Holidays). No appointment is necessary for our Child Health Clinic.
