Embrace Birthing Education
Are you pregnant and uncertain of the type of birth you would like?
Want to know your options?
Need more information to be able to make an informed choice?
Pregnancy is a time of change and often during times of change we can become stressed and unsure of ourselves. Information can be the key to helping us make choices and feel confident in these choices, but where do we get this information and can we trust that the information is correct?
Childbirth Education is about looking at all the options, considering each one carefully, thinking about your own feelings and expectations, and perhaps looking outside the box. Seeking sources of information, being aware of your choices, having a birth plan, keeping fit and healthy during pregnancy, and being prepared for labour, birth and postnatal decisions are all components of embracing birth, and parenthood.
Benefits of taking part in Childbirth Education include:
- Shorten the birth process
- Reduced pain
- Reduced risk of tearing during birth
- Preparation for birth
- Informed decision-making
- Confidence in your own body’s abilities
Childbirth Education Classes at Embrace Life will give you information and advice, direct you to resources, and if necessary encourage you to seek advice from other sources. The information we give is unbiased, non-judgemental, and will support and empower you in knowing you have covered all the information necessary to make the best decisions for your baby.
Attending childbirth education classes will also give parents the opportunity to discuss information they have been given, provide them with support and offer a social network that will go on to support them through to the birth and beyond.
